Margarita, register and relax in your deluxe room. Dinner is hosted
at Mr. Owen's Restaurant. Jumbo shrimp and tortilla soup will be
prepared by our chef. Perhaps you would like a nice wine from our
cellar.
Copper Canyon Hunting Train Tour - First Day
Wake up call at 4:30 am with breakfast at 5:00 am at Mr. Owen's
Restaurant. Depart at 5:30 am in Sinalopato's Suburban for your
first dove hunt. Grain crops are responsible for attracting millions
of Whitewing and Mourning doves to the fertile farming valleys
of Los Mochis. Hunt established flyways where the doves move from
roosts in the morning to feeding and water holes and back to roost
during the middle of the day. Return to the Plaza Inn about 10:30
am, have a nice lunch, rest, and depart for your duck hunt at 1:30
pm. Airboats are used to take you to hot spots on the marsh. Natural
blinds are set in the tules with decoys spread out in a protected
pocket. Your bird boy will retrieve your ducks. The airboat will
return periodically to make sure your hunt is going well and that
you have enough shells, cold drinks and snacks.
A Mexican duck hunt is truly a great waterfowling experience.
On an average day, duck hunting at the Duck and Dove Club could
produce more ducks than you would bag all season in the states.
Return to the Plaza Inn about 6:30 pm for a nice steak dinner.
After dinner you can spend some time at our Sugar Company Salsa
Bar, with live music and the best drinks in the city. (on your
own).
